When I was a kid, my aunt used to make this for me and my grandfather and we would fight over who got to eat it all. Now I make it and have the same problem with my husband and kids!
Ingredients
1 cup fat Free Miracle Whip
12 oz. box uncooked macaroni noodles
8 oz. chunk colbyjack cheese, diced into squares about the size of a pea
1 cup frozen petite sweet peas (or canned if you cannot find frozen)
1 can flaked tuna in water
1 small red onion, diced
Method
Cook noodles according to box instructions.
Place frozen peas in strainer and run under cool water to thaw (or drain water from canned peas).
Squeeze water from canned tuna and separate with fork.
When noodles are done cooking, drain and run under cold water, rinsing thoroughly. Shake out excess water as it will collect inside the elbow noodles and put inside very large bowl. Add all ingredients before stirring (it makes it easier) and begin folding over and over until completely mixed and covered with miracle whip. Cover with clear plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
