These little nests are extremely rich! I use a mini muffin pan to make them instead of a regular one because of that fact!
Ingredients
Malted milk balls – minis (or jelly beans)
1 Tbs. unsalted butter
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips
1 cup creamy peanut butter
6 oz. chow mein noodles
Method
using a mini muffin pan and your fingertips, grease insides of cups with butter. Set aside.
Over low heat in a sauce pan, add chocolate chips and butterscotch and melt down, stirring constantly. Once melted, add peanut butter and mix until incorporated. Add chow mein noodles and fold with wooden spoon until covered.
Now the messy part! Fill muffin cups with chow mein mixture, adding 3 milk balls or jelly beans on top of each. Refrigerate 1 hour.
Tips:
If making these for a school function or some sort of event, know that they do start to melt quickly. They are nothing like M&M’s, they will melt all over your hands! They will, however, keep in the fridge for 2 weeks and in the freezer for 6 weeks.
